Lilyness

We LOVE that Lily's personality is already starting to come through...glimpses of who she might be and how fun (and challenging) these next years are going to be, by His grace.

Things Lily does NOT like:
socks, or anything covering her hands or feet
blankets being on her (she shoves them OFF her hands and above her feet, leaving her as pictured!)

being woken up, or having to wake up quickly
clothes
being held in any manner that inhibits her view of the world
mud (a toddler on the compound gave her her first taste yesterday)
being ignored for too long
going to sleep whenever she doesn't want to


Things Lily loves:
A book called Peekaboo Kisses (she grins the ENTIRE time we read it...over, and over and over and....)
being naked
her bouncy vibrating chair, from which she has clear view of everything and everyone
peeing everywhere the moment she IS naked
bath time
Granny Giselaine (pictured here, for whom she smiles for every time she sees her no matter what)

falling asleep while mom or dad bounce up and down on an exercise ball (the ONLY way she will go to sleep)
lights of any kind mesmerize her
sitting outside in her bouncy chair while mom does laundry
her "Lily" frog...a stuffed frog that says, "HI! I'm Lily! Sing a counting song with me!" and then launches into an animated music version of 1-10

We cannot wait to learn more about this sweet one, and more about the Lord and ourselves in the process!
