one year of Sofie...

A year ago she was still in my belly.  Today, she went down the slide alone...

....Rode a shark

 ...touched a penguin that Mommy posed with as a little girl...

 ...was completely mesmerized with just EVERY animal...like, glued!

 ...rode a horse...

 ...and Lily visited Australia :)...

 I mean, Sofie screamed, and hooted, and hollered, reached for and clapped her hands at EVERY animal.  She LOVED it.  I never dreamed she would enjoy the zoo so much at her age.

But her favorite, by far, were the monkeys.  She yelled "Ew-Ew-Ah-Ah" at EVERY kind of monkey and ape we saw.  She LOVED them.

 loving the zoo so much was a little exhausting.

 ok, really exhausting.

"Lily, what was your favorite part of the day?" I asked her when we left the park SEVEN hours later.  

"RIDING MY HORSE!"

She wanted to ride so badly, and made it very clear that Mommy was not to touch the horse, touch the "leash" or touch her.  "By Myself." she kept telling me, and she adored it!  She was SO EXCITED.

What a GREAT GREAT day...I just feel so incredibly blessed to have Sofie, all that she is and will be, in our lives.  Thank you, Father...
